Protocel

After telling me that He wanted me to pursue a "natural" treatment (with me having NO idea what that meant at the time), Jesus led me to Protocel.

Protocel was developed about 50 years ago by a chemist named James Sheridan. It uses a process called Anaerobic Cellular Reduction Technology to disable the energy-producing mechanism of cancer cells.

When it comes to cells in our body, we have two kinds, "aerobic" a healthy cell which uses oxygen, and "anaerobic" an unhealthy cell that does not use oxygen (like cancer cells).  While the human body is naturally equipped to identify & destroy these unhealthy cells, diet, lifestyle, habit, heredity and environment can hinder the body's natural healing ability.

By slightly reducing the energy of the cells in our body, Protocel forces the cancer cells to die, thereby kicking in the body's natural processes in identifying and dismissing these unhealthy cells.  Through a process called lysing, the cancerous cells are broken up and disposed of by the body while having no adverse effect on healthy cells.

Natural Defenses in Preventing and Treating Cancer

We discussed in the last post about the affects of sugar on cancer cell growth.

In the video below, Dr. David Servan-Schreiber (a physician and neuroscientist) speaks of his own battle against cancer.  Dr. Servan-Screiber had chemotherapy and radiation to help treat his brain cancer, but the cancer returned. He soon realized that if he relied on "conventional" treatments alone, he would likely die.

In order to help overcome cancer, he conducted a lot of research into how foods either help or hinder cancer recovery and identifies the results of his research in using diet to help combat cancer.

Newage

Taking Back A Godly Heritage

"And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat." Genesis 1:29

When Jesus told me that He wanted me to use a natural treatment against cancer, I began to look into what that meant.  What is a "natural" treatment?

While there is a lot of information available about using plants & herbs to heal, most of it is being promoted from a wiccan, pagan, or new age perspective.  In fact, it is very hard to find information about natural healing that is not tainted by such views.  I asked the Lord, "God, surely you don't want me to get involved with all of this?"

Yet, who is the Creator of all things?  Did not God Himself tell us that He has placed plants & herbs down here for our food and our health?

Is There A Doctor In the House?

When Jesus first told me to forgo chemo and radiation in favor of a natural approach for treating cancer, I just thought it would be much simpler than what it turned out to be.

I remember thinking that I would tell the doctor what God had told me to do, and he would work with me and monitor me while I followed the treatment to help me understand whether the disease was getting better or worse.

Well, I was wrong.  Neither my oncologist, surgeon, or general physician wanted to monitor me on this journey.  They did not refuse to see me, but it simply wasn't the partnership or support that I felt I needed.  At every opportunity, they reminded me that I was "not doing what I was supposed to do".  Or, they pretended that I was doing absolutely nothing about my cancer with an attitude that I should "let them know" when I was ready to treat it.

Nutrition

I got a lot of advice when I was diagnosed with cancer; and I mean a LOT of advise.  The conversation of diet was also a hot topic.

From my doctors who just said, "Eat as you always did, trying to be healthy." to others who said I must cut out meat, cut out dairy, cut out carbs, only eat organic, or even become Vegan.

"Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him...I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean." Romans 14:1-3, 14

And I have to admit, initially I did get caught up in that.  I really started to stress about food and whether what I was eating was helping or killing me.  I became so paranoid that I would feel like there was nothing for me to eat, even though there was food in the kitchen.

What eventually gave me peace of course was the word of God.
