Laying the Axe to the Root

"And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire." Matthew 3:10

When Jesus died on Calvary, He accomplished a wonderful, tremendous, and almost unbelievable thing.  He laid the axe to the root of the tree of sin.  No longer would man have to pluck at the branches of sin (outward acts of rebellion against God).  Instead, the very thing which gave life to sin - often called the "old man" in Scripture - was killed. 

Apart from Christ's sacrifice, man was a slave to sin; he was guaranteed to sin.  As a result, all he could so was offer continual sacrifices to God to cover his sin.  In Jesus, man can be born again and made a partaker of the divine nature.  God is not looking for man to struggle and pick away at the manifestations of sin in our lives.  He has paid the price for us to have victory over sin by addressing the root of the problem - an fallen, sinful nature brought about by the fall of Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Some may read this and wonder what in the world it has to do with cancer.  Well, I share this analogy because it is what God used to show me about how to deal with cancer.

Why I Don't Race for the Cure

The following is a video from Chris at ChrisBeatCancer.com and it pretty much sums up my perspective on this issue.  I literally cringe when people start talking about how we need to raise money for a cancer "cure", as there are many treatments already available that can help you beat.

All that is in addition to the money raised by the roughly 1,400 IRS-recognized, tax-exempt charities in this country devoted to breast cancer. They operate in every state and in just about every major city. The largest of them, Dallas-based Susan G. Komen for the Cure, grossed $420 million last year alone. Dr. Rebecca (Roczen) Carley received her Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound, attended medical school (and received the Samuel L. Kountz award for clinical excellence in surgery at graduation), and trained to be a general surgeon at State University of New York at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Carley also worked as an attending Emergency Room physician at Kings County Medical Center in Brooklyn (which is the primary training affiliate for Downstate students), and is the largest hospital (and busiest trauma center) in the United States.

Paw Paw

Paw Paw is a plant indigenous to the United States whose fruit has been shown to fight cancer. 

According to the Paw Paw Research site:

When a person intakes a source of acetogenins, such as a capsule of standardized paw paw extract, the blood supply picks them up and delivers them throughout the body along with glucose.  Although a slight amount of acetogenins may wind up in non-cancer cells, the resulting lowering of ATP production is not enough in most of these cells to cause any problems. 

The huge energy requirement of the cancerous cells tends to "hog" most of the acetogenins to those cells.  Furthermore, when the acetogenins start working on the "high-usage" cancer cells, the resulting drop in ATP energy production is much greater than it would be in most normal cells.  Thus, if cancer cells are present in the body, the paw paw tends to affect them, while leaving the normal cells alone.

Unlike chemotherapy, the paw paw works to "starve" the cancer cells instead of poisoning them.  Thus, the action is usually slower than chemotherapy.

In this way, paw paw helps to knock out the cancer cell's energy production mechanism without having the harmful side effects of chemo or radiation (similar to what is done with the Protocel treatment).

Cancer is a Fungus?

I continue to be amazed as I learn more about cancer and how it is interacting with - and being eliminated by - my body.

Some time ago, I came across information on Dr. Tullio Simoncini, an accredited oncologist who has rejected conventional treatments for cancer based on his findings that cancer is a fungus; he has even written a book on the matter outlning his research and his recommended treatment for cancer using sodium bicarbonate.
As stated above, I heard about this years ago, but never really looked into it.  There is just such a wealth of info out there on cancer and cancer treatments, that one can go crazy trying to take it all in.  Further, there is also a lot of "hokey" out there, so we must use caution, discretion, and wisdom.  Therefore, in an effort not to become overwhelmed, I only focused in areas where the Lord led me.  Yet, as I have started using black salve, I reached a point where my personal experience began to really match the findings of Dr. Simoncini.

Black Salve

Bloodroot Plant

Black salve is a natural herbal remedy containing a plant called bloodroot, as well as other herbs.  Bloodroot has been used as an "Indian Mud" poultice by Native Americans for hundreds of years.  Commonly referred to as puccoon, the Native Americans used bloodroot as a remedy in treating cancer, moles, gangrene, and a wide range of other illnesses.

It is called bloodroot because the roots of the plant produce a bright red sap when cut, and it is this sap which is used in the Black Salve.

The scientific name for bloodroot is Sanguinaria canadensis and Sanguinaria has been found to be a potent cancer-fighting agent (examples linked below).

I have often spoken about how deficient modern medicine's approach is to disease and health.  How healthcare and disease "control" has resulted in a monster money-making industry whose survival/growth depends upon people being sick.

Well, nothing so simply and directly brings across the innate issues of our current medical industry like the following video.

Protocel

After telling me that He wanted me to pursue a "natural" treatment (with me having NO idea what that meant at the time), Jesus led me to Protocel.

Protocel was developed about 50 years ago by a chemist named James Sheridan. It uses a process called Anaerobic Cellular Reduction Technology to disable the energy-producing mechanism of cancer cells. 

When it comes to cells in our body, we have two kinds, "aerobic" a healthy cell which uses oxygen, and "anaerobic" an unhealthy cell that does not use oxygen (like cancer cells).  While the human body is naturally equipped to identify & destroy these unhealthy cells, diet, lifestyle, habit, heredity and environment can hinder the body's natural healing ability.

When Jesus told me that He wanted me to use a natural treatment against cancer, I began to look into what that meant.  What is a "natural" treatment?

While there is a lot of information available about using plants & herbs to heal, most of it is being promoted from a wiccan, pagan, or new age perspective.  In fact, it is very hard to find information about natural healing that is not tainted by such views.  I asked the Lord, "God, surely you don't want me to get involved with all of this?"

Yet, who is the Creator of all things?  Did not God Himself tell us that He has placed plants & herbs down here for our food and our health?

Nutrition

I got a lot of advice when I was diagnosed with cancer; and I mean a LOT of advise.  The conversation of diet was also a hot topic.

From my doctors who just said, "Eat as you always did, trying to be healthy." to others who said I must cut out meat, cut out dairy, cut out carbs, only eat organic, or even become Vegan. 

"Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him...I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean." Romans 14:1-3, 14

And I have to admit, initially I did get caught up in that.  I really started to stress about food and whether what I was eating was helping or killing me.  I became so paranoid that I would feel like there was nothing for me to eat, even though there was food in the kitchen.

What eventually gave me peace of course was the word of God.
