Purpose

We are fearfully & wonderfully made. All things - seen and unseen - have but one Creator, the Lord Jesus Christ.

God is able to heal us supernaturally in His own power, but He also provides the tools for healing in His creation. Our bodies are innately designed to heal itself. Additionally, plants & herbs in nature have various healing properties.

When I was first diagnosed with cancer, I assumed that the doctors knew what was best.  They had the education, the research, the access to the latest thinking in order to treat and BEAT this cancer.  It was a shock for me to learn that there were entire classes of remedies that doctors would not only be ignorant of, but in which they would have absolutely no interest.

When I shared what the Lord had put on my heart in regards to a treatment, they didn't even want to discuss it.  When that same treatment made my cancer tumor markers return to normal, they had nothing to say.  When that medicine got rid of my ovarian tumor, they acted as if it was no big deal.  However, the entire time there was tremendous pressure from them to stop what I was doing and follow their recommended protocols, in spite of my progress.

At first they used fear to try and persuade me to change my mind.  "My cancer was aggressive and without their treatments, I would DIE.  Didn't I even care enough about my children to follow their advice?  They were trained in the field and knew what worked.  Those natural treatments I referred to were not even proven."

When fear didn't work, they simply ignored me.  They spoke about me - even in my presence - as if I was not in my right mind, as if I was intellectually deficient.  They labeled me as one of "those kind" of people who ignorantly thought that faith in God would help me fight cancer; someone foolish enough to think that there was actually something as or more effective than what they prescribed.

At one point, I stopped taking my treatment the way that I should and my cancer tumor markers went up.  The oncologist noted, "Perhaps now you will be ready to try my treatment."  I politely refused, and he asked to see me back in one month.  Over the next month, I made sure to take the treatment as I should have and when I went back to the doctor's office, my tumor markers were again normal.  I never saw my oncologist again after that.  For every subsequent visit I had, he referred me to his physician's assistant.

Initially, I was shocked.  Why would these doctors not be interested in a treatment that could fight cancer as effectively - and with less toxicity - then the medicines being currently provided to their patients?  Wouldn't even intellectual curiosity and professional integrity warrant a closer look?  Apparently not.

This type of reaction is not representative for every doctor, but it was typical for most of the physicians with whom I met...and I met with many.  I have often heard of people talking about those who have a "God complex", but I had never experienced it.  Regarding the medical profession, it is understandable.  Doctors help to bring life into the world, save lives from death, prolong lives, treat disease and enhance people's quality of life.  Doctors can literally change lives.

But let us make no mistake.  There IS a God in Heaven and only He is in control of our lives. Doctors can treat the sick based on what they have learned, experienced or believe, but God alone is the Creator who knows what we need and is able to bring it to pass in our lives.  We should appreciate the wonderful medical practitioners who serve us, but never lose sight of who is God.  It is God alone who has led me down this road and He alone who has sustained me; and that is what I would like to share with you.

This site will chronicle my own journey in fighting cancer as well as providing general resources on about cancer support and treatment.  Not all of these resources will be from a Christian perspective, so as with all things, it is important to be prayerful about what is posted.  I post these resources, not necessarily because they are personally recommended by me, but to offer additional considerations which may assist in your own journey.

Lastly, it is important to state that I am not against chemotherapy, radiation, or pharmaceutical drugs in general.  However, I do implore each of you to seek God for His plans in your life while also taking personal responsibility and accountability for your own health.

I pray that this site encourages you to seek God's guidance (wisdom from above) in how to maintain your health and not just place blind faith in the wisdom of this world.
